Electrical & Instrumentation & Automation engineering

We power railways
and control water.

EIA-Solution designs, programs and commissions the systems that feed traction power to rail networks, and the systems that treat, purify and distribute water. Same discipline, same safety culture, from the first study to the day it is energised.

Our two core businesses

Two specialisms, one control & command chain

We design, program and commission the systems that power rail networks and the systems that treat water. Same safety requirements, same method, from study through to site testing.

01 — Core business

Railway power supply

Traction power generation, distribution and supervision: substations, HV/MV switchgear, PSCADA and safety automation for metro, tram and high-speed lines.

  • Substation control & command design (SCADA / PSCADA)
  • PLC and IED programming, electrical schematics
  • SIL certification and safety case files
  • Factory (FAT), site (SAT) testing and commissioning
  • IEC 61850
  • IEC 60870-5-104
  • SIL 2
  • EN 50126 / 50128

02 — Core business

Water treatment

Process automation for treatment, potable production and ultra-pure water: pumping stations, distribution loops, reverse osmosis and process supervision.

  • Functional analysis and process architecture
  • Instrumentation, control loops, dosing and metering
  • Supervision, historian and water-quality traceability
  • UPW loops for pharmaceutical and semiconductor plants
  • Modbus RTU / TCP
  • OPC UA
  • GAMP 5

Why a specialist

Two sectors that punish vague engineering

A traction substation and an ultra-pure water loop have little in common on the surface. Underneath they ask the same thing of an engineering team: a functional analysis that survives contact with the site, protection and control logic that behaves under fault, and a test file that an auditor can follow line by line.

That is the work we chose to concentrate on. Rather than spreading thinly across every industry, we went deep on the two where control and command decides whether the asset runs safely — and where getting it wrong is expensive in ways that show up years later.

Tender, detailed design, an integration that has stalled, or a commissioning window you need covering — say which, and your enquiry goes to the engineer who has done it before rather than to a generic inbox.
