Water treatment

From the P&ID to qualification — treatment, potable production and ultra-pure water.

Core business 02

Water processes that hold their spec, shift after shift

Water treatment is a control problem before it is a mechanical one. The pumps and membranes are well understood; what decides whether a plant meets its quality target is the instrumentation around them and the logic that reacts when a value drifts.

We handle the automation scope on treatment, potable production and ultra-pure water plants: reading the P&IDs, writing the detailed functional analysis, specifying and configuring the instruments, programming the sequences, and building supervision that gives an operator a reason to trust the numbers on screen.

Ultra-pure water is where this gets demanding. A UPW loop feeding a semiconductor fab or a pharmaceutical line has to hold resistivity and TOC continuously, prove it, and keep the record. We have delivered that scope — including the distribution loop on a GlobalFoundries site with Ovivo and Ekium — and we work to GAMP 5 where qualification is part of the contract.

Typical deliverables: detailed functional analysis, cause-and-effect matrices, instrument index and datasheets, loop diagrams, PLC and HMI programming, backwash and regeneration sequences, historian and reporting, FAT and SAT protocols, IQ/OQ support and operator training.

Scope of work
